Psychological Services

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Learning Disabilities (LDs) can affect the way you learn or process information.  Problems with mood, stress, or trauma can also affect your behavior, thinking, and relationships. Understanding your mind is one of the first steps to making positive changes.

A psychological evaluation will include a careful interview about how you are functioning now, as well as events of the past that helped form the person you are today.  It may also involve some tests of your thinking skills or questionnaires about your mood.  We may ask to speak with people close to you that could give us a more complete understanding of your whole self. We will use all this information to make an accurate diagnosis, as well as provide tailored recommendations to help you meet your goals.

We do our best to schedule you within several weeks of being contacted, with a report completed in less than a month. In order to keep such a short waitlist, unfortunately, we cannot accept insurance for psychological services. We can provide a superbill to your insurance company, who may reimburse you partially.  There may be other clinics that accept your insurance for psychological services, albeit with a significantly longer wait, and we encourage you to call around to make sure that we are the best fit for your needs.

We can also provide testing for students and young adults requiring testing for school entry or accommodations, including IQ or academic testing.

In addition to psychological testing, we offer psychotherapy for our testing patients, if recommended by the psychologist.
